Breastfeeding has occurred for centuries, as have breastfeeding issues.  Reaching out to a local lactation consultant is a great way to solve problems quicker so you can enjoy your baby and your breastfeeding experience.

Try not to worry about the "what ifs".  I see a lot of women that are worried about getting mastitis or thrush or plugged ducts.  You never know what your breastfeeding journey will reveal.  Sometimes the detours are minor, sometimes they are a little more extensive.
